Description Karel Srot 2013-10-29 12:47:52 UTC
Description of problem:

I would propose to update /etc/motd for a reserved system (by /distribution/reservesys) with some note about proper use of shared resources.

Something that would notify the user to return the system soon and that he should request a system load for a long term reservations. Also add some URL to a page with more details.

I didn't found any doc page regarding this but I was pointed to
https://docs.engineering.redhat.com/display/KB/System+loaned+through+beaker#Systemloanedthroughbeaker-PolicyExceptions
so probably something similar would be good.

Such a change would also fit well with the planned usage report email changes in 0.16: http://beaker-project.org/dev/proposals/time-limited-manual-reservations.html#beaker-usage-report-emails

There is an official policy doc for this here: https://home.corp.redhat.com/wiki/extended-reservations-beaker-general-pool-systems
