Created attachment 822496 [details] Picture of the "\," issue from evolution contacts. Description of problem: When viewing owncloud provided contacts in evolution contacts (via Gnome 3.8 online accounts) in card view the contacts with two names all have "Surname\, firstname". The "\," is not observed in list view but is also present in company view. The "\," is not observed in the direct owncloud interface via the webbrowser or in any Android device using caldav to view the contacts. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): evolution-3.8.5-2.fc19.x86_64 evolution-data-server-doc-3.8.5-6.fc19.noarch evolution-data-server-devel-3.8.5-6.fc19.x86_64 evolution-data-server-3.8.5-6.fc19.x86_64 evolution-bogofilter-3.8.5-2.fc19.x86_64 evolution-rss-0.3.93-3.fc19.x86_64 How reproducible: This has been present ever since I linked my owncloud server via the Gnome online accounts. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Link owncloud to Gnome via online accounts 2. Open Evolution 3. View contacts Actual results: Contact names have "\," in them. Expected results: Contact names does not have "\," in them. Additional info: If I open the contacts and change the "file as" field which is where the "\," appears on editing. The "\," goes away. Until I go back to the contact later and find it has returned. Google contacts does not show this nor does the local contacts. Viewing contacts in Gnome contact viewer does not show "\," either. Creating a new contact on the owncloud server and then viewing that contact in evolution initially looks fine but then if you modify that contact in evolution the "\," appears?
Thanks for a bug report. There is an upstream bug report for this [1], please see it for a more detailed explanation. [1] https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=696642
