The prod server experiences frequent network dropouts, which results in errors displayed in the UI. Symptoms are: * Happens over VPN and LAN * Happens throughout the day * REST calls will time out during this period (even between DocBuilder and the prod srver) * SSH connections will freeze
The fact that system level network services like SSH freeze tends to rule out any issues with the PressGang code.
While a SSH session is locked up, a remote desktop session will still work. To test this I left htop running in a SSH window and also in a Virtual Machine Manager remote desktop. The remote desktop showed continuous refreshed, while the SSH session was frozen and unresponsive. This might indicate some networking issue between the host and the vm.
