Description james labocki 2013-11-21 18:11:47 UTC
This is a request to allow for global parameters that are applied to all host groups in the RHELOSP host groups. Currently having to type passwords multiple times between all the host groups is not efficient.

Comment 2 Jason Guiditta 2013-11-25 21:39:09 UTC
My understanding of foreman is that global parameters are not supported. @dcleal, can you confirm or deny that? If they are supported, I am happy to add such a thing.

Comment 3 Dominic Cleal 2013-11-26 08:27:02 UTC
They're possible, but we moved everything over to class parameters a while ago as they're generally more powerful - later we can add validation, descriptions in the UI etc.

I'm hesitant to change it and potentially lose these features, though I can't think of another way to fix it at the moment. It's worth noting that the plugin-based approach means the user won't have to change all of these classes by hand either.

This bug was handled or obsoleted during the GA2 redesign work. If you believe that this still applies to the current UI, please re-open this bug.
