Description Leonid Natapov 2013-11-25 15:34:31 UTC
missing maintenance information when running hosted-engine --vm-status
Maintenance information should be presented when user runs hosted-engine --vm-status

Comment 2 Artyom 2013-12-08 08:03:40 UTC
I checked it on is26, when maintenance state is "none" or "global", maintenance in vm-status is False and for "local" is True, if for "global" maintenance state in vm-status maintenance not must be also True?

Comment 3 Martin Sivák 2013-12-09 09:46:49 UTC
No, because the host in question is not in maintenance state.

Local maintenance causes the host to kill/migrate the VM elsewhere and somebody else will start it instead.

Global maintenance means "disable all automatic actions in the whole cluster".

That is why global maintenance info is printed at the beginning of the --vm-status output. It allows you to see the last known state of all hosts.

Comment 4 Artyom 2013-12-09 10:33:17 UTC
Checked on ovirt-hosted-engine-ha-0.1.0-0.8.rc.el6ev.noarch, still no information about global maintenance state, bug moved to modified, because that patch already merged, but wasn't included in this build.

Comment 5 Artyom 2013-12-09 10:47:37 UTC
After discussion with Martin, revealed that -ha package responsible for internal logic, so flag for local maintenance work fine and -setup package responsible for global flag and we have another bug for this package: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1034323
Verified on ovirt-hosted-engine-ha-0.1.0-0.8.rc.el6ev.noarch
