Description of problem: There are two instances of nm-applet running on a fresh install of Fedora 20 beta with the Cinnamon desktop. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): network-manager-applet: 0.9.9.0.7 cinnamon: 2.0.13 cinnamon-session: 2.0.5 How reproducible: This happens on my current fresh install and also happened on a Fedora 19 install that I upgraded to 20 beta. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Fedora 20 with Cinnamon Desktop. 2. Connect to network. 3. Actual results: 1. pidof nm-applet shows two PIDs. 2. When connecting to a network, two notifications are shown. Expected results: 1. pidof nm-applet should show one PID. 2. Only one notification should be shown when connecting to a network. Additional info: Workaround is to remove desktop entry from xdg settings:- /etc/xdg/autostart/nm-applet.desktop I can't figure out where the other instance is started, therefore more investigation by someone knowledgeable about Cinnamon should be considered. Presumably, the xdg settings desktop entry should stay as it may be used by other desktops and the 'other' entry removed.
