Description lionghostshop 2013-12-03 02:32:33 UTC
Description of problem:

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

I've tried both live cd of fedora 19 and fedora 20 beta. Both are 64 bit version

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable UEFI boot in bios
2. Use flash key or external hard drive to boot c540

Actual results:
The screen freezes displaying
"security boot not enabled"

Expected results:
Boot the live cd

Additional info:
When I switch to legacy mode, the live can be booted correctly and can be installed to the harddrive.

One additional question, in legacy mode, I can not boot live using external drive after I have installed the fedora to hard drive. I erase all partitions in the hard drive duration installation process. After installation, booting using flash key result in "missing operation system" while the computer just skip the external harddrive during booting. The external harddrive works before fedora is installed to the harddrive. It fails to work after fedora has been installed. Why this occur? Does computer need other files in harddrive in order to boot external drive? Thanks.

sorry,

I find it works again. Thank you. I need to shutdown the machine and boot it in order to change the disk to boot.

But the UEFI problem still has.

How did you create the live media? Does the problem still occur using the final release of Fedora 20?
