Description of problem: During the re-factoring of documentation as part of the 5.6 release cycle we missed/dropped a statement from our documentation about the nature of usage/expectation for the Snapshot/Rollback feature/capabilities. Specifically: "Snapshot rollbacks provide the ability to revert certain changes to the system. For example, you can roll back a set of RPM packages, but rolling back across multiple update levels is not supported. Both features are described in the sections that follow." Within the 5.5 Reference Guide this is listed at least 3 times, twice as a NOTE. https://access.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Network_Satellite/5.5/html-single/Reference_Guide/index.html Within sections 1.3. The Provisioning Module 4.4.2.10.4.2 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info:
I expect it can be re-added to a provisioning section, since this capability is used solely as part of the Provisioning entitlement.
I am planning on adding it to the Getting Started Guide as "Section 3.5 Snapshot Rollbacks" Working on the specifics at the moment but I'll get back to you as soon as we have something solid so you can verify the content.
