The EPEL 5 build for ppc and the EPEL 6 build for ppc64 were successful, but these of course use very different versions of gcc (4.1.2 and 4.4.7 respectively). The build with gcc 4.8.2 succeeds on x86 and arm. I need access to a ppc machine with gcc 4.8 to investigate.
Please send my your public ssh key and I'll give you access to one of our developer PowerPC machines.
