Description of problem: After yum update of Thunderbird from 24.1.0-1.fc19.x86_64 to 24.2.0-2.fc19.x86_64, the Calendar from thunderbird-lightning-2.6.2-3.fc19.x86_64 is no longer available or accessible. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): thunderbird-24.2.0-2.fc19.x86_64 thunderbird-lightning-2.6.2-3.fc19.x86_64 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Accept yum upgrade of thunderbird to version 24.2.0-2.fc19.x86_64 2. 3. Actual results: On restart after upgrade, Calendar tab no longer appears. I Calendar is loaded via the menu item "Events and Tasks / Calendar", the calendar tab is displayed but no calendar data is available. Tried reinstalling Lightning with "yum reinstall thunderbrid-lightning", but this made no difference. Expected results: Calendar should be available after update. Additional info: Both thunderbird and thunderbird-lightning are installed from the official Fedora 19 x86_64 repository.
I deinstalled the fedora packages (from the F19 repository), and installed the latest lighting version (2.6.4), from mozilla using Add-Ons -> Get Extensions. Solved the issue for me.
Repeated the steps that Andy Campbell had done. That also worked for me.
From: https://blog.mozilla.org/calendar/2013/10/dont-upgrade-to-thunderbird-24-0-1-yet/ the fix is we need lightning 2.6.3 or later. Installing by hand as per comment 1 is a good workaround, but hopefully the package maintainer can update the package.
Maintainer already did the update. See https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2013-23456/thunderbird-lightning-2.6.4-7.fc19 It should be in stable repository now. Thank you for your report.
