Just so you guys know. It was to my link station with is running XFS. locally I have not had any issues it all is network file copys to the link station. gvfs is junk on fedora 19, please do not take any offence to this.

It was hanging on a lot of files. yes they were 1 to 2 gigs big. It also did it on small files too. I installed ubuntu 12.04 lts and it worked perfectly but I missed my fedora so I upgraded to fedora 20. Fedora 20 gvfs is a lot better but it still is crahing the file browser.

Please note I know Fedora 19 is almost end of life but gvfs is hosted / broken badly on it.

Glad to see the back trace worked. For some reason it is failing now and I can not submit any more bug reports also.

Another user experienced a similar problem:

I had just finished copying a couple of files to a flash drive and proceeded to eject the device. I guess the transfer from the cache to the drive was not done yet, hence the error. I did not notice any other problems with caja right before or after that.

Another user experienced a similar problem:

I added a luks encrypted filesystem which appeared in the "Deices" section where i could mount/umount it using passphrase etc. At some point the encrypted device disappeared from the "Devices" section, so I closed the Caja window and openned a new one. Then this error happened but a Caja window opened anyway, the encrypted partition still not showing in the "Devices" section.

Comment 25 Neil 2014-10-28 17:21:05 UTC
Yeah, I use Fedora 20, a well known distro that doesn't have any proprietary software on their repositories, they have some alternatives for us like open source plugins to reproduce SWF files, so you can watch some videos on YouTube, but to be honest they all suck, I mean, these plugins were made when YouTube didn't have that amazing HTML5 support that have today. Last night I decided to install Adobe Flash, it works Alright, but, has been like 2 years (?) since Adobe said that they will not bring any update (just "major security" updates) so it's kinda fucked up, I have a non free plugin, with no security updates, and many people too, so people in linux already is trying to avoid Adobe because of that.

Pretty bad for open source community seems that Adobe is keeping like the 70% of the internet and like the 97% of porn.

If I can help, I can test the web on any distribution except on BSD, I tested it last year on my PS3 and it goes pretty awesome.
