Description of problem: Openalchemist shows splash screen when started, ... that's it. It stays on splash screen forever while the theme song plays continuously. I notice that one core of the CPU is engaged at 100% until the application is killed. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 0.4-12.fc20 How reproducible: since fc18, If I remember correctly Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install openalchemist 2. start openalchemist 3. *hang* Actual results: openalchemist freezes at splash screen. Theme music continues to play Expected results: openalchemist should load default skin (in the absense of any) and be ready to accept input from users Additional info: I get the following on the terminal: Can't access to ${HOME}/.openalchemist/preferences-0.4-svn.ini. Can't read highscores file. Probably doesn't exist. Error while reading ${HOME}/.openalchemist/skins-0.4-svn file, probably doesn't exist yet.
