Description of problem: /etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/98-puppet is invalid. It looks like the puppet source tarball when it should be a shell script. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 2.7.24-1.el6 although it has been present in previous versions for several weeks. How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install package 2. run: file /etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/98-puppet 3. Actual results: /etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/98-puppet: gzip compressed data, from Unix, last modified: Wed Dec 18 08:18:48 2013 Expected results: /etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/98-puppet: Bourne-Again shell script text executable Additional info:
Yeah, the update to 2.7¹ removed the script's Source entry and incorrectly modified the install command to reference Source0. I'll attach what I think is the simple fix, but I don't have time to test and push this out. ¹ http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/puppet.git/commit/?h=el6&id=93d568390c97d2521395c9514d5b1946e90cbed4

Thanks for the patch - it works like a charm. I'm on a network right now that bans port 22 so I can't push, but I've committed the patch with you as the author in rev e66338. > > ¹ > http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/puppet.git/commit/ > ?h=el6&id=93d568390c97d2521395c9514d5b1946e90cbed4
