The Situations gadget does not function as expected in some browsers. Users are unable to collapse the gadget after it has been expanded. This causes it to remain onscreen. You can make the menu go away by expanding one of the other situation windows in the interface.

I have been unable to reproduce this issue. I have tested on the following:

Win 8.1 + IE 11.0.9600.16476
Win 7 + IE 10.0.9200.16521
Win 8 + IE 10.0.9200.16384

Expand/collapse functionality works fine for me in all combinations of the above.

Perhaps try patching IE11 to my (newer) version?

Any other information you can provide that might help me reproduce this? I've been testing with the ordermgmt rtgov quickstart.

It can be hard to test because the situations fall out of the window over time...

default state - expand - collapse

Comment 5 Andrej Vano 2014-01-21 08:15:03 UTC
Hi Eric,

unfortunately I can't update the IE since i'm testing it on a jenkins node. I added a screenshot - as you can see the page "thinks" that the situation is collapsed because the 'collapse' sign changed into 'expand' sign (probably some kind of JS/AJAX error?)

I can add new observations that may help:
(1) when the situation details are 'hanging' (the collapse did not work) and you expand some other situation, the 'hanging' details will disappear
(2) if you leave one situation expanded, the expand/collapse on _all other_ situations is working correctly.

If you want to test it, you can try it on following jenkins nodes:
vmg01-w2012-x86-64
vmg02-w2012-x86-64
vmg03-w2012-x86-64

All of these contains the same version of IE (I was testing it on vmg03)
