As per https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Policy_for_nonresponsive_package_maintainers, I am filing bug to initiate the process.

There are a lot of pidgin bugs (about 50, mainly reported by abrt) that indicate segfaults and other problems and have not been investigated and responded to.
