Created attachment 856021 [details] test document Description of problem: When printing the attached document to my Canon LBP7750Cdn printer, which is configured as a generic PCL6 printer, some separating lines in the diagram on the top of the page are missing. Also, in the little preview dialogue in the print window, the rendering of the output differs depending on which printer is selected Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): libreoffice-4.1.4.2-4.fc19 How reproducible: every time. Steps to Reproduce: 1. print document to PCL6 printer. 2. Not ethat the separaotrs in the diagram are missing Additional info: Attaching test doucment and scanned version of the printed results. Also screenshots of the preview when two different screenshots are chosen. Also attaching relevant(?) cups configuration

Can you attach here the ppd for that printer, probably /etc/cups/ppd/Canon-LBP7750C.ppd Doesn't seem to be the same generic pcl6 driver in f20, I got "Generic PCL 6/PCL XL Printer - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.9 Simplified" instead of the "Generic PCL 6/PCL XL Printer Foomatic/pxlcolor" you seem to have in F-19 caolanm->twaugh: Anything here ring a bell for you in terms of whose bug this might be, ours or some other components ?
Created attachment 856540 [details] PPD file from F20 laptop This is the PPD file from an F20 laptop with the same printer configured. It has _not_ been verified that the printout looks the same but the preview window is equally broken
With the driver Generic PCL 6/PCL XL Printer - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.9 Simplified the preview looks good. I'll try the printout when I get home to the printer on Friday.
Presumably it's the difference in default resolution between the default f19 and f20 generic PCL drivers which seems to be 1200 in f19 vs 600 in f20 which triggers this. I guess ideally, from my perspective, the problem is that the resolution defaults to 1200 in f19 and the printer can only do 600. If the printer *can* do 1200 then I guess the problem is on our side.
Isn't this bug #887304 again?
According to printer specifications (http://www.canon-europe.com/For_Home/Product_Finder/Printers/Laser/i-SENSYS_LBP7750Cdn/) it should be able to do 600x600 dpi. (Up to 9600 x 600 dpi with Automatic Image Refinement, whatever that might mean) So hopefully I just had the resolution wrong, I will double-check with both drivers when I'm home on friday.
Confirming that with the driver "Generic PCL 6/PCL XL Printer - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.9 Simplified" the printout comes out good and all lines are there. But no colors, with this driver it is not possible to select color printout. On the other hand, I guess this isn't really a libre-office issue so feel free to re-assign this bug. Or just close it, I guess I need to do some googling for the proper PPD.
Created attachment 857952 [details] PPD from F19 machine Attached is the request PPD from the f19 workstation
To summarise this issue: This problem is regarding the Generic-PCL_6_PCL_XL_Printer-pxlcolor.ppd Generic PCL 6/PCL XL Printer - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.9 Simplified works fine but grey-scale only (no color) Best results so far: Generic-PCL_6_PCL_XL_Printer-hpijs-pcl5c.ppd
I'm pretty sure this is bug #887304 again, which is a libreoffice bug. Changing component.

Still in F27
Comment #14 suggests this is bug #887304 which I can't reproduce on a contemporary version
I don't think so, this is _only_ about printing. All lines in the document itself look good. But if you try to print it using Generic-PCL_6_PCL_XL_Printer-pxlcolor.ppd, some lines go missing
