Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description of problem:
Red Hat logo in Plasma panel is poorly resized.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kde-workspace-4.10.5-9.el7.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:

Maybe, you have to adjust panel height. For me it was default size, YMMV.

Actual results:
Shadownman is cropped, see screenshot.

Expected results:
Scale logo properly.

Same here, with a fresh user on Snap6.

Comment 3 Jan Grulich 2014-03-03 09:53:56 UTC
This is not a bug in kde-workspace. It seems that fedora-logo-icon.png in size 24x24 is the only one which is trimmed, but I guess it shouldn't be.

Comment 4 Ray Strode [halfline] 2014-03-03 15:28:41 UTC
probably broke when fixing bug 1042818 . IIRC, during that bug brand sent me a new shadow man SVG file. When generating the individual sizes, i must have messed that one up.

than, I see you're taking this bug over. Are you just going to regenerate the image from the scalable version? or shrink the 48x48 in half?

Comment 5 Than Ngo 2014-03-03 15:46:22 UTC
Ray, i regenerated SVG file.

Comment 6 Ray Strode [halfline] 2014-03-03 16:00:35 UTC
sounds good.

Comment 7 Than Ngo 2014-03-03 16:16:34 UTC
it's fixed in redhat-logos-70.0.3-4

I still see same behavior with redhat-logos-70.0.3-4.el7.noarch

Comment 10 Vitezslav Humpa 2014-03-05 16:49:29 UTC
With a new user, icon now sizes properly (unlike in c#2), using the updated icon.
