LXC configuration can have lines like this one to force the network device name in the guest: lxc.network.name = foo Supporting this feature on LXC guests would help fill the feature gap and ease migration from LXC to libvirt's LXC containers.

This feature has been supported in libvirt since libvirt 1.2.7 (August 2014) <interface type='network'> ... <guest dev='myeth'/> ... The patch was sent by Cedric; I guess he forgot that he had filed the BZ :-)
