Description John Haiducek 2014-02-02 14:37:50 UTC
Description of problem:

Anaconda refuses to automatically partition on a Macintosh system when EFI boot is selected. The only way to get an EFI bootloader installed is to select "no bootloader", partition manually, and install the bootloader manually later.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run anaconda
2. Select EFI bootloader and automatic partitioning (the default)

Actual results:

Anaconda refuses to install the bootloader, says it can't find an EFI volume to install to. The only way to get an EFI bootloader is to select "no bootloader" and install grub manually later, but this also requires manual partitioning.

Expected results:

Anaconda finds the MacOS EFI partition, sets it to mount at /EFI, and installs grub there.

Additional info:

Hardware is a 2013 MacBook Air with MacOS X 10.9 (Mavericks).
