Please have a look at the following dependency hell that comes up once you plan to install Freemind. For what do you need apache*, ant*, avalon* and the other stuff. I also don't get the point for installing the entire JDK package if only JRE is enough to run Freemind. Could this be reviewed please. The entire vanilla release requires less than 12mb of disk space and has less requirements. ================================================================================ Package Arch Version Repository Size ================================================================================ Installing: freemind noarch 0.9.0-13.fc19 fedora 3.9 M Installing for dependencies: SimplyHTML noarch 0.16.7-2.fc20 fedora 708 k ant noarch 1.9.2-7.fc20 fedora 1.9 M ant-junit noarch 1.9.2-7.fc20 fedora 140 k antlr-tool noarch 2.7.7-29.fc20 updates 357 k apache-commons-cli noarch 1.2-11.fc20 fedora 55 k apache-commons-codec noarch 1.8-5.fc20 fedora 223 k apache-commons-io noarch 1:2.4-10.fc20 fedora 194 k apache-commons-lang noarch 2.6-13.fc20 fedora 281 k apache-commons-logging noarch 1.1.3-7.fc20 fedora 82 k apache-ivy noarch 2.3.0-4.fc20 updates 1.1 M avalon-framework noarch 4.3-9.fc20 fedora 87 k avalon-logkit noarch 2.1-13.fc20 fedora 87 k batik noarch 1.8-0.11.svn1230816.fc20 updates 6.3 M batik-squiggle noarch 1.8-0.11.svn1230816.fc20 updates 507 k bouncycastle noarch 1.46-11.fc20 fedora 2.4 M bouncycastle-pg noarch 1.46-10.fc20 fedora 240 k bsf noarch 2.4.0-17.fc20 fedora 105 k cal10n noarch 0.7.7-3.fc20 fedora 37 k cglib noarch 2.2-17.fc20 fedora 255 k easymock noarch 3.2-1.fc20 fedora 126 k eclipse-equinox-osgi i686 1:4.3.1-11.fc20 fedora 1.3 M fop noarch 1.1-5.fc20 fedora 3.6 M geronimo-jms noarch 1.1.1-17.fc20 fedora 32 k gnu-regexp noarch 1.1.4-18.fc20 fedora 60 k groovy noarch 1.8.9-5.fc20 fedora 4.7 M hamcrest noarch 1.3-5.fc20 fedora 125 k hawtjni noarch 1.9-1.fc20 fedora 149 k icc-profiles-openicc noarch 1.3.1-5.fc20 fedora 327 k jai-imageio-core noarch 1.2-0.13.20100217cvs.fc20 fedora 330 k jakarta-commons-httpclient noarch 1:3.1-14.fc20 fedora 241 k jakarta-oro noarch 2.0.8-14.fc20 fedora 78 k jansi noarch 1.11-3.fc20 fedora 46 k jansi-native i686 1.5-1.fc20 fedora 29 k java-1.7.0-openjdk-devel i686 1:1.7.0.60-2.4.4.1.fc20 updates 9.1 M javahelp2 noarch 2.0.05-15.fc20 fedora 552 k javamail noarch 1.5.0-6.fc20 fedora 606 k javassist noarch 3.16.1-6.fc20 fedora 626 k jgoodies-common noarch 1.6.0-3.fc20 fedora 39 k jgoodies-forms noarch 1.7.1-3.fc20 fedora 130 k jgoodies-looks noarch 2.5.3-3.fc20 fedora 365 k jibx i686 1.2.5-5.fc20 fedora 1.2 M jsch noarch 0.1.50-2.fc20 fedora 239 k junit noarch 4.11-7.fc20 fedora 261 k jzlib noarch 1.1.2-2.fc20 fedora 75 k log4j noarch 1.2.17-14.fc20 fedora 449 k objectweb-asm noarch 3.3.1-8.fc20 fedora 197 k objenesis noarch 1.2-16.fc20 fedora 64 k qdox noarch 1.12.1-7.fc20 fedora 169 k sac noarch 1.3-17.fc20 fedora 17 k slf4j noarch 1.7.5-3.fc20 fedora 173 k tomcat-jsp-2.2-api noarch 7.0.47-1.fc20 fedora 90 k tomcat-servlet-3.0-api noarch 7.0.47-1.fc20 fedora 187 k xalan-j2 noarch 2.7.1-21.fc20 fedora 1.9 M xbean noarch 3.13-4.fc20 fedora 384 k xerces-j2 noarch 2.11.0-16.fc20 fedora 1.1 M xml-commons-apis noarch 1.4.01-14.fc20 fedora 227 k xml-commons-resolver noarch 1.2-14.fc20 fedora 108 k xmlgraphics-commons noarch 1.5-2.fc20 fedora 545 k xpp3 noarch 1.1.3.8-10.fc20 fedora 336 k xpp3-minimal noarch 1.1.3.8-10.fc20 fedora 32 k xstream noarch 1.3.1-8.fc20 fedora 388 k Transaction Summary ================================================================================ Install 1 Package (+61 Dependent packages) Total download size: 49 M Installed size: 89 M Is this ok [y/d/N]:

This message is a reminder that Fedora 20 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 20. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '20'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 20 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
Fedora 20 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2015-06-23. Fedora 20 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
