Description of problem:
Updating the page code for a project with something invalid causes an exception.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.3.0 RC1

How reproducible:
Moderate always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Sign in as admin, go to a project
2. Click Edit Page Code
3. "Enter" the character 0xFEFF
4. Press Update

Actual results:
We're sorry
An unexpected error has occurred. Please report this problem with details of what you were attempting.

Expected results:
Something something "invalid character: <char>"

This actually makes the project mainpage inaccessible, throwing the above exception when navigated to.
