Description Alexander von Gluck IV 2014-02-09 06:01:46 UTC
Description of problem:
Haiku boots and runs well on virt-manager kvm / qemu. It would be nice if there was an option for a tweaked configuration for it.

Resolution:

OS type: "Other"
Version: "Haiku"

Memory: 512MB default / minimum
CPUs: 1 default

Disk image: 4GB minimum / default

Virt type: kvm
Architecture: x86_64

Virtual disk: virtio bus (Haiku supports this well at the moment)
Virtual nic: e1000 (Haiku's virtio network driver isn't finished)
Video: default

Haiku has a lot of useful debug data over ttyS0. May want to pipe that somewhere useful.

patch to add Haiku os item

This patch will likely need rebased in current version. (was applied to virt-manager 0.9.1)

Thanks for the patch. However the os list in virt-manager is frozen because very shortly we are switching over to use libosinfo for this information. Please send a patch to libosinfo, either via bug report or mailing list:
