Description Simon Coy 2014-02-17 15:55:11 UTC
Description of problem:
When creating a new symlink using managed configuration channels, the 'Symbolic Link Target Filename/Path' validates the path to ensure there is a starting '/'.

This is not necessary - especially if you want to create relative symlinks.

The validator in java/code/src/com/redhat/rhn/manager/configuration/file/SymlinkData.java should either be removed or altered to not check for a starting '/'

Spacewalk project as an upstream for Red Hat Satellite 5 product is going to be End Of Life on May 31 2020.

Spacewalk 2.10 has been released as the last release of this project.
