Because of a bug some extra debugging code was enabled in 2.2.5. This could either be a problem with the scanning engine or a bug in the debugging code. If you can reproduce this bug with a specific file, can you attach the file to this bug report?
Created attachment 869989 [details] Include file which produced a crash when typing plain text Hi, I managed to make bluefish crash by typing more plain text into this file. The bit I typed is in the middle of the white space. The sentence after "apostrophe c" disappeared after the crash and it's only approximate - I was typing drivel! John.
Right now I cannot reproduce the crash. What highlighting mode were you using, Generic HTML, PHP, or something else?
Hi, Generic HTML (and word wrap was ticked). It happened when I typed some plain text (into an existing div) rather than code. On a previous occasion I typed the text into gedit then copy and pasted into bluefish to avoid the crash. I tend to re-use this particular file. John.
