Red Hat Bugzilla 1070717 0 high CLOSED IE 10: Designer generates elements in process when user click on them 2021-02-22 00:41:40 UTC

Internal Links: 1070717

Description Sona Mala 2014-02-27 11:23:09 UTC
Description of problem:
If you work a few minutes with Designer then response for drag and drop events is slower and slower. Sometimes I wait 3 minutes for moving an element.

I opened same process in FF browser and response was as usual. So I think that this is a problem of IE.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
6.0.1 ER1 BPMS

Expected results:
Quick response.

Sona, could you elaborate what exactly you are doing? I tried several minutes moving nodes around on IE11 / Windows7 and couldn't reproduce any degrading performance.

It would also be very useful to turn on the developer console (F12) and use the profile to check what it is actually doing at that point.

I use IE10. I tried to reproduce 1049506. I think that this issue is related with 1070717.

Comment 4 Sona Mala 2014-02-27 14:49:10 UTC
IE 11 is not affected by this issue.

Comment 7 Sona Mala 2014-12-08 13:14:39 UTC
When the bz 1070717 was fixed then jBPM Designer's response time is normal for a simple process.

The problem is that BZ 1070717 generates new nodes in a process for every click. So if I have created a new process with 190 nodes (6.1.0 ER2) then jBPM Designer is slow again.

My opinion is that this issue is not TestBlocker any more but give me time to verify it.

Internet Explorer 10 is no longer supported.
