Description Alexander Todorov 2014-03-04 15:57:09 UTC
Description of problem:

* Wed Jan 02 2013 Jiri Popelka <jpopelka> - 12:4.2.5-0.3.rc1
- run %%check in Fedora only, there's no atf package in RHEL

... skip ...

* Thu Dec 20 2012 Jiri Popelka <jpopelka> - 12:4.2.5-0.1.rc1
- 4.2.5rc1
  - added %%check - upstream unit tests (Automated Test Framework - ATF)

However there's no %check section at all. Removal is not documented in the changelog section, nor a helaty %check present, or an empty %check explaining why the testsuite can't be run there (e.g. needs root).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
dhcp-4.3.0-6.fc21.src.rpm

Comment 1 Jiri Popelka 2014-03-04 16:08:08 UTC
* Mon Feb 17 2014 Jiri Popelka <jpopelka> - 12:4.3.0-3
- don't try to run tests because there's no atf package since F21

As you can see I removed it recently because ATF upstream has dropped atf-run & atf-report tools (which the test suite in dhcp uses) since atf-0.20 (rawhide)
http://julipedia.meroh.net/2014/02/killing-atf-deprecated-tools-code.html

I reported it upstream with no response so far.

Jiri,
can you post a link to your upstream report?

Comment 3 Jiri Popelka 2014-03-11 13:02:16 UTC
ISC DHCP upstream has no public bug tracking system, one just sends an email to dhcp-bugs at isc.org and gets an automatic reply with ID.
All I know is that my ticket has been assigned an ID of [ISC-Bugs #35391].

My report was:

Today I noticed that I can't run tests (./configure --with-atf; make;
make check) anymore because ATF upstream has dropped atf-run & atf-report tools since atf-0.20
