Description of problem: on a clean install (64 version as I'm planning on upgrading the ram soon), if I do yum update, it updates me to the 3.13.5-200.fc200.fc20.x86_64 kernel, and with this kernel I can't get past the Fedora boot logo. It boot fine with the former kernel. I can boot with nomodeset. The rawhide kernel doesn't fix anything atm. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 3.13.5-200.fc20.x86_64 How reproducible: Each time for me. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install clean fedora unsing latest iso. 2. yum update Actual results: Impossible to boot. Expected results: Hangs at Fedora logo. Additional info: This is the result of "journalctl -b -1" when I booted into the old kernel after crashing with the 3.13 kernel. http://ur1.ca/grboc And here is my config : Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe (Bios updated) AMD Athlon 64 3500+ ATI 4550 -> HDMI to screen. 2*1Go Corsair (Not the cheap value, tested several times.) Old WD 250 Go Sata disk. And this is what I get on screen when I boot without the quiet argument : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26470057/photo.JPG I can provide any log or whatever you need. Thank you.

I would like to add that I tried to boot with radeon.dpm=0 and instead of getting the fedora logo, my screen just shutdown like if the computer was shutting down.
Exactly the same problem with Ubuntu and kernel 3.13.
Have you tried a koji kernel? https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/question/42690/stuck-at-fedora-logo-at-boot-with-313-or-newest-kernels/
I just did, the screen just shutdown... I can access to the computer with SSH though...
Here is the result of : journalctl -b -0 | fpaste http://paste.fedoraproject.org/87639/49352113/
Is there anyone here ? I'm not sure of what should I do, as the lasts updates are breaking XBMC, I just can't use Fedora anymore. Should I wait for a fix ? (If anyone is trying to fix it) or should I give up ? Don't forget I can give any information needed.

I was able to boot with RC8 kernel and nomodeset, what's next ?
This message is a reminder that Fedora 20 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 20. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '20'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 20 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
Fedora 20 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2015-06-23. Fedora 20 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
