Description of problem: Not sure about the component, when I start Fedora login window doesn't show users names and some other times, if I can login into Gnome, icons that usually are on the top of the screen (language, network, audio, battery) are shown on the right side of the screen, and are larger: the stop button is missing Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gdm-3.10.0.1-1.fc20.i686 How reproducible: not every time that I start Fedora Steps to Reproduce: 1.just start Fedora 2. 3. Actual results: Sometimes users names are missing on the login window and some other times after getting into Gnome panelicons are in the wrong position Expected results: Additional info: running intel video card (i915)
I have the same intermittent problem on the two Fedora/GNOME desktops I run. Both have AMD video cards.

same issue on a brand new laptop running i915 video card 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09) But I guess that it is something related to software not hardware
Sometime it happen on my laptop too. Lenovo IdeaPad Y580, Fedora 20 x86_64. When it happen I go to the console and restart whole gdm by "killall gdm" command. Then the logon form appear.
Now I'm upgraded to kernel 3.14.7-200.fc20.x86_64 For now issue doesn't appeared. Hardware: Lenovo IdeaPad Y580 Linux: Fedora 20 x86_64
