Description Leticia Konno 2014-03-06 18:21:46 UTC
Description of problem:

When a deployment file is associated to a server-group, this file is added to the repository of all Hosts even that there is not a server configured with this server group.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

JBoss EAP 6.2

How reproducible:

- Add a deployment file to Domain Controller content repository
- Assign this content to a server-group.

Actual results:

After that, the content is replicated to all Hosts even that this Host does not have any server configured or any server configured to this server-group.

Expected results:

The deployment file be copied to the Hosts that have servers set to the server group that the deploymet file was assigned.

I've set dev_ack- for this, as the discussion has shown this is a Feature Request, and it's not possible to implement this for 6.4. Upstream WildFly has a prototype feature to allow users to specify with a single boolean that a host should ignore all resources (including deployments) unrelated to the server groups used by its servers. We expect that something based on this will be how this kind issue is handled in EAP 7.

re-assign Emanuel's assigned bugs to Brian.

Comment 23 Brad Maxwell 2015-08-14 17:40:14 UTC
Since this is a Feature Request, we opened an EAP RFE, so I am closing this as it is a feature not a bug.
