Created attachment 871651 [details] Snapshot of "Edit Connection" window with "Password" grayed out Description of problem: Connection editor remembers the password. But if the user changes any settings (not touching the authentication details) like DNS, IP or Firewall Zone the VPN password has to be entered again. Also, the password field stays gray until the option "Not required" is selected, then "Store" again it becomes available. After saving the settings, then entering the connection editing window again, the password field will be gray (i.e. disabled) not showing asterisks or dots as if there's a password entered. I suspect the actual problem is with "nm-connection-editor" but there's no such component in the list Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Connection editor Version 0.9.3.2 Using KDE Development Platform 4.12.2 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a VPN connection 2. Enter details (Connection type: Password) 3. Save and exit 4. Connect to VPN normally everytime 5. Renter to edit anything, and save 6. Try to connect to VPN, you have to enter the password Actual results: Password is stored until settings are changed, even if not related to login details), then reset if anything changes. Expected results: Password is saved until the "Password" field is touched. Additional info: All are latest stable as of submission Using F20 kernel 3.13.5-202.fc20.x86_64 KDE 4.12.2 openvpn 2.3.2-4.fc20 NetworkManager 0.9.9.0-31.git20131003.fc20 NetworkManager-openvpn 0.9.9.0-0.1.git20140128.fc20 kde-plasma-nm 0.9.3.2-3.fc20 nm-connection-editor 0.9.9.0-8.git20140123.fc20
Can you please try to update to kde-plasma-nm 0.9.3.3? It's in updates testing, so you can just run "yum update kde-plasma-nm libnm-qt libmm-qt --enablerepo=updates-testing".
Alright. It seems like this bug is fixed in the testing packagaes
