Description Richard Allen 2003-10-19 14:11:07 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030702

Description of problem:
Ehen fedora core test 3 is booting it has a graphical boot. It offers me to
click "Show details" and then opens a window with the boot messages (from
initscripts). Im using the Icelandic locale and the messages are very broken.

This meight be related to bug 91643 but in this case, I have not changed
anything on the machine. Its still running in the locale anaconda selected
while installing.    /etc/sysconfig/i18n has:

LANG="is_IS.UTF-8"
SUPPORTED="is_IS.UTF-8:is_IS:is"
SYSFONT="latarcyrheb-sun16"

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make your /etc/sysconfig/i18n file like mine
2. Reboot
3. Click show details in mid boot and look at the characters.

Additional info:

Comment 1 Richard Allen 2003-10-20 01:31:00 UTC
Text (boot messages) leading up to "Starting keytable" is OK. All text after
that is broken.

Comment 2 Bill Nottingham 2003-10-20 04:08:29 UTC
Already fixed... the keytable initscript is now gone.
