Description Zac Dover 2014-03-12 09:02:18 UTC
SPICE Proxy lets the users define a proxy that will be used by SPICE client to connect to the guest. It is useful when the user (e.g., using user portal) is outside of the network where the hypervisors reside.

Comment 1 Zac Dover 2014-03-14 02:09:03 UTC
RHEV-M 3.2 added spice proxy support as a global config (bug 889601).
this RFE is to extend the support to allow configuration spice proxy per cluster, and per vm-pool (vm-pool configuration will override the cluster level if defined).

Hi Andrew,

I was working on bug 1075253, updating the screen shots and procedures related to the New Cluster window, and noted the new Console tab. I added a topic 'Cluster Console Settings Explained' to cover the existence of this tab. I have now realised, with a bit of research, that this is a bug/feature in itself, and involves a couple of other components.

I thought I would make you aware of the changes I've already made, so you can cross-check them when looking at this bug.

Kind Regards,

Lucy

Hi Lucy,

Thank you for the heads up.

I have taken a look at the new topic (30392) and it looks good. I will be looking into console-related content further over the next few days and will keep the change here in mind.

Kind regards,

Andrew

The following topics were created to explain the settings for overriding the global SPICE proxy.

New Pool Pool Settings Explained [30426]

The name for the above topic looks as though it contains a redundant word, but because the name of the tab is 'Pool', this title is produced by using the standard title format for other tabs.
Any input would be appreciated.

Edit Pool General Settings Explained [30428]

The following topic was revised to add a step (6.1) for optionally overriding the global SPICE proxy -
