Update to sagemath 6.1.1 rediff broke the maxima_lib interface and should be fixed. Some extra information: The upstream sagemath uses an bundled ecl with unicode disabled. Since unicode is enabled in most distros ecl package, a patch is used: http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/sagemath.git/tree/sagemath-ecl-unicode.patch and there is a long standing request for upstream to use unicode strings: http://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/12985
