Hi Lucy,

Re-assigning this one to you.

The majority of this content will probably fit into Chapter 4 of the Installation Guide, and the section on updating reports and dwh later on in the guide. There are three or four topics in this chapter that look like they will need work, and two of them can even be collapsed into a single topic.

Comment 4 Lucy Bopf 2014-03-28 01:29:14 UTC
Topic 7522 (Installing and Configuring the History Database) subsumed into topic 7523 (Installing and Configuring RHEVM Reports), and procedure updated. Now use # engine-setup for installations of both DWH and Reports. Note added explaining that changes are due to otopi, and that previous commands rhevm-reports-setup and rhevm-dwh-setup are obsolete (similar content to BZ#1073586).

Procedure updated in topic 10733 (Updating RHEVM Reports).

Hi Lucy, shouldn't we restate sentence "Press Enter to choose the highlighted defaults, or type your alternative preference then press Enter."

to

"Press Enter to choose the highlighted defaults, or type your alternative preference and then press Enter."

The rest of the doc seems to use this scheme of "highlighting" the need to press Enter key after doing some action while this particular sentence does not.

Please note I'm not an English native so I might not be the correct one here.

Comment 7 Lucy Bopf 2014-05-01 05:58:23 UTC
Hi Tomas,

Thanks for the feedback. I can see that further down in that same topic, it states, "Type OK and then press Enter to proceed", so I will change the sentence you highlighted to mirror this. It does make sense to explicitly separate the two actions, 'type something' and 'press Enter'.

We have, however, gone through 3.4 docs freeze, so this change will be reflected in the next release.

For this release, the absence of the "and" should not change the meaning of the direction in a way that confuses users.

Thanks,
Lucy

I agree. In that case we can move this BZ to verified.

Cheers

Tom
