RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description of problem:
a typo exists for remove-all options in subscrption-manager man page ("REPO-OVERRIDE OPTIONS" section)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:

--remove=NAME name of the override to remove (can be specified more
--remove-all remove all overrides; can be specific to a repository

2. Check the remove-all option in subscrption-manager man page

[root@hp-z220-10 entitlement-autotest]# man subscription-manager | grep -i 'repo-override options' -A20
   REPO-OVERRIDE OPTIONS
The repo-override command allows the user to manage custom content repository settings

--repo The repository to modify (can be specified more than once)

       --add=NAME:VALUE
Adds a named overide with the provided value to repos specified with the --repo option

       --remove=NAME
Removes a named overide from the repos specified with the --repo option

       --remove-alll <================== it should be --remove-all
Removes all overrides from repos specified with the --repo option

--list Lists all overrides from repos specified with the --repo option

Actual results:
as step 2

Expected results:
--remove-alll in subscrption-manager man page should be changed as --remove-all

Additional info:

Comment 2 John Sefler 2014-03-14 12:41:33 UTC
Another word that appears misspelled in the subscription-manager man page is "overide". The correct spelling is "override".

[root@jsefler-7 ~]# man -P cat subscription-manager | grep "overide"
Adds a named overide with the provided value to repos specified
Removes a named overide from the repos specified with the --repo

Comment 3 Bryan Kearney 2014-03-19 20:52:45 UTC
Moving bugs from 7.0 to 7.1

Comment 5 Chris Snyder 2014-05-22 15:39:19 UTC
Should be in as of commit: aedb511035e256cd859848ecafec19ed17bc52f8

Comment 6 Bryan Kearney 2014-07-30 19:24:10 UTC
Acking 7.1

Comment 8 qianzhan 2014-11-06 09:21:29 UTC
Verifying version:

[root@dhcp-129-187 rhsm]# subscription-manager version
server type: Red Hat Subscription Management
subscription management server: 1.4.3.28-1.el6sam_splice-Headpin
subscription management rules: Unknown
subscription-manager: 1.13.6-1.el7
python-rhsm: 1.13.6-1.el7

Verification:
1. Check if "--remove-alll" is replaced by "--remove-all"

[root@dhcp-129-187 rhsm]# man subscription-manager | grep -i 'repo-override options' -A20
   REPO-OVERRIDE OPTIONS
The repo-override command allows the user to manage custom content
       repository settings

--repo The repository to modify (can be specified more than once)

       --add=NAME:VALUE
Adds a named override with the provided value to repositories
              specified with the --repo option

       --remove=NAME
Removes a named override from the repositories specified with
              the --repo option

       --remove-all <=============  CORRECT !
Removes all overrides from repositories specified with the
              --repo option

2. Check if "overide" is modified.
[root@dhcp-129-187 rhsm]# man -P cat subscription-manager | grep "overide"
[root@dhcp-129-187 rhsm]#

Verified!
