Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
RHEL-7.0-20140214.0

Steps to Reproduce:
Make sure that your graphics driver supports KMS.

Make sure you have rhgb quiet options in kernel commandline and no nomodeset
option

 1. Boot up

Actual results:
RHGB does not appear. The text-mode boot progress bar appears instead.

Expected results:
Make sure the whole booting process is correct and smooth, without any graphic
fragments nor unaligned text/logos. There should be circle progress bar in the
middle of the display.

Additional info:
No RHGB on shutdown either,
Comment 1 Jérôme Glisse 2014-07-17 11:29:43 EDT
This should already work in 7.0 but reassigning to kernel as if it is an issue than it is a kernel issue.
Comment 3 Jérôme Glisse 2015-04-16 10:12:47 EDT
This need to be retested as it sounds like bad initrd or something like that.
Comment 7 Vasiliy Sharapov 2015-09-16 15:12:38 EDT
No longer applies to:
ATI Pitcairn PRO [Radeon HD 7850] [1002:6819]
Comment 8 Vasiliy Sharapov 2015-09-16 15:39:43 EDT
No longer applies to:
ATI Kaveri [1002:1304]
Comment 9 Vasiliy Sharapov 2015-09-30 04:16:33 EDT
No longer applies to:
ATI Bonaire [1002:6650]
Comment 10 Vasiliy Sharapov 2015-09-30 04:18:02 EDT
We no longer have ATI Cape Verde PRO [Radeon HD 7750] [1002:683f] to test on, seeing as this fix should apply to all HW using xorg-x11-drv-ati we can verify it as SanityOnly.
