Description Chris Rankin 2014-03-18 09:22:15 UTC
Description of problem:
The DVB-T tables for the UK are dated 2012. They are completely obsolete.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
dtv-scan-tables-0-4.20130713gitd913405

Additional info:

For example, the table for uk-CrystalPalace says:

T 481833330 8MHz 2/3 NONE QAM64 2k 1/32 NONE # London.
T 537833330 8MHz 3/4 NONE QAM16 2k 1/32 NONE # London.
T 505833330 8MHz 3/4 NONE QAM16 2k 1/32 NONE # London.
T 561833330 8MHz 2/3 NONE QAM64 2k 1/32 NONE # London.
T 529833330 8MHz 3/4 NONE QAM16 2k 1/32 NONE # London.
T 578166670 8MHz 3/4 NONE QAM16 2k 1/32 NONE # London.
T2 0 16435 554000000 8MHz AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO # London.

This was correct back in 2012. However, the current information (in 2014) is actually:

T 490000000 8MHz 2/3 NONE QAM64 8k 1/32 NONE # PSB1
T 514000000 8MHz 2/3 NONE QAM64 8k 1/32 NONE # PSB2
T2 545833000 8MHz 2/3 NONE QAM256 32k 1/128 NONE 0 # PSB3
T 506000000 8MHz 3/4 NONE QAM64 8k 1/32 NONE # COM4
T 482000000 8MHz 3/4 NONE QAM64 8k 1/32 NONE # COM5
T 529833000 8MHz 3/4 NONE QAM64 8k 1/32 NONE # COM6

Thank you for your bug report. Please try not to be judgemental and note the Fedora Code of Conduct: https://fedoraproject.org/code-of-conduct

It looks like the data was updated but the new upstream tarballs are created improperly without a new date in the filename:
http://www.linuxtv.org/downloads/dtv-scan-tables/

I will forward this upstream and prepare an update.
