Can you attach any logs that are present after the machine reboots? Without knowing where it's rebooting at we're going to have a difficult time doing anything about this bug.

boot log attached, but having trouble to attach the messages log file (it is compressed). so will attach as soon as bugzilla'a submit button functions.

Let me know what other log files may be helpful.

Machine rebooted choosing the tainted kernel.
Check around 7h26/7h27 time stamps

Comment 5 Leon 2014-03-31 10:15:26 UTC
kernel 3.13.7-200.fc20.x86_64 exhibit the same result

1) Re-installed linux from DVD: Kernel 3.11.10-301.fc20.x86_64
2) Run yum update, which at this time, installs 3.13.7-200.fc20.x86_64
3) Run init 6
The machines then keeps rebooting when loading new kernel.

How can one trace what module is causing this?

Comment 6 Josh Boyer 2014-03-31 13:45:35 UTC
You might try passing 'initcall_debug' on the kernel command line.

*********** MASS BUG UPDATE **************

We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 20 kernel bugs.

Fedora 20 has now been rebased to 3.14.4-200.fc20. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.

Comment 8 Leon 2014-05-22 05:55:10 UTC
Kernel 3.14.4-200.fc20.x86_64 did not resolve the issue.
Still on the original kernel 3.11.10-301.fc20.x86_64 to avoid reboots.

Comment 9 Leon 2014-07-15 06:40:39 UTC
Kernel 3.15.4-200 mentions in it's boot procedure log twice that it is failing to load the kernel modules... then hangs or attempts reboot. Issue persists.

If you have moved on to Fedora 21, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 21.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.

Comment 11 Leon 2014-11-13 16:05:27 UTC
The kernel stopped improved on rebooting events from around version 3.15.1-100. I have not seen reboot events since the 3.16 branch. it seems to be resolved now.
