FYI, ShellCheck 0.3.4 needs QuickCheck 2.7.4+

(In reply to Jens Petersen from comment #7) > I see - unfortunately no plans to ship > 2.6 any time soon, > since latest haskell-platform states 2.6. Well, it states it, but it may work if QuickCheck 2.7.4 is backward compatible. Have you tried an actual upgrade? At least that what I'd usually expect until a major version bump (eg. QuickCheck 3). NixOS currently ships both ghc 7.6.3 and ShellCheck 0.3.4 [1], so it might be possible. OTOH they also seem to ship QuickCheck 2.6 so I'll investigate that with ShellCheck's author and keep track of this in bug 1052117 [1] http://nixos.org/nixos/packages.html

Anyway as you stated in another bug, ShellCheck 0.3.4 should build fine with 2.6.
