Description Nir Yechiel 2014-04-03 07:55:24 EDT
Description of problem:

From the 3.4 Admin Guide (section 5.2):

Enable and disable port mirroring by editing network interfaces on virtual machines.

Additional info:

1. Port mirroring is now part of vNIC Profile
2. Hotplug profile with port mirroring is not supported
3. You can't modify port mirroring when the vNIC Profile is attached to VMs

Giving (3) abouve, we should recommend users to create a dedicated vNIC profile with port mirroring enabled, and use it

Hi Yaniv,

Thank you for following up on this bug.

Unfortunately, we have not had the time to work on this bug yet due to focusing on beta features.

Now assigning to Tahlia to follow up on the feedback above.

Tahlia - what we need to close this bug out is to add some conceptual content based on the comments above. Could you take a look?

Kind regards,

Andrew
