Description Michal Jaegermann 2014-04-03 18:19:53 UTC
Description of problem:

When I am trying on my current rawhide system

   dnf provides '*/mount'

then dnf supplies me with names of 14 (in this case) packages and repos of origin. So far so good but it is up to me now to guess if packages
which happened to match with

   /usr/share/doc/libnatspec-devel/examples/mount
or
   /usr/share/javadoc/hadoop/org/apache/hadoop/hdfs/nfs/mount

are "interesting" or "not-interesting" and what they may be.

In contrast

   yum provides '*/mount'

comes back with the same list of 14 packages but with every package displays also matched files. In practice this is much more useful. Would be possible for dnf to do something similar?

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
dnf-0.4.19-1.fc21
