Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Since this issue was entered in Red Hat Bugzilla, the release flag has been
set to ? to ensure that it is properly evaluated for this release.

Comment 3 Christine Fouant 2014-05-27 16:49:04 UTC
Created redmine issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/5951 from this bug

Comment 4 Bryan Kearney 2014-05-29 14:40:59 UTC
Moving to POST since upstream bug http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/5951 has been closed

Comment 6 Kedar Bidarkar 2014-06-05 11:58:10 UTC
The current hint says,

subscription-manager register --org="ACME_Corporation" --environment="Library"

and this works fine registering a system.

I feel the below hint also needs to get incorporated which would help consume content readily.

subscription-manager register --org="ACME_Corporation" --environment=<lifecycle-environment/content-view>

Comment 7 Christine Fouant 2014-06-05 13:42:19 UTC
I didn't realize that registering without an environment is expected to work (re: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1103020).

If you think that more detailed instruction is required to select an environment or content-view, then please update the bug with more specific requests and information. Thank you!

Comment 8 Kedar Bidarkar 2014-06-06 13:37:18 UTC
yeah registration without an environment is expected to work, but feel it will be easy for the user if the hint is as per the expected results. :)

It will be helpful for the users if it says:

subscription-manager register --org="ACME_Corporation" --environment=<lifecycle-environment/content-view>

Comment 9 Kedar Bidarkar 2014-06-06 13:52:32 UTC
discussed in the team, feel we can now move this to VERIFIED state.

Comment 10 Bryan Kearney 2014-07-02 14:04:53 UTC
This was delivered with 6.0.3, which is the Satellite 6 Beta.
