Description Jens Petersen 2014-04-10 08:17:54 UTC
Description of problem:
It can happen that one submits a wrong/bad srpm or duplicate build
by mistake to Copr. For this case it would be nice to have a way to
cancel builds once they have started.

eg I got some backtrace from copr-cli ("KeyError: 'id'")
and thought mistakenly that my build had not been submitted
but actually it had to my surprise, so I ended up
with a duplicate build - for long builds of large packages
this can expensive (both time and resource-wise).

Comment 1 Jens Petersen 2014-04-10 08:18:52 UTC
I know the Web frontend has UI to cancel pending builds.
It would be nice if this was also possibly once the build
has starting running.

Is this a limitation of the new copr: I think earlier one could cancel jobs even after they started.

I tried just now to run "copr-cli cancel buildid" and it failed for my started job.

This is pretty difficult to achieve with the current infrastructure. We might implement this in future, but can't really say that with any certainty at the moment.
