Comment 1 David King 2014-04-23 16:55:16 UTC
I saw that you requested a review swap on the devel mailing list:

https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/devel/2014-April/198481.html

I would be happy to review this, although I do not know the Java guidelines well. Would you be OK with reviewing bug 1085352?

Comment 2 David King 2014-04-23 17:22:41 UTC
It seems like there are just a few minor dependency issues to fix.

Package Review
==============

Legend:
[x] = Pass, [!] = Fail, [-] = Not applicable, [?] = Not evaluated
[ ] = Manual review needed

Issues:
=======
- Packages have proper BuildRequires/Requires on jpackage-utils
  Note: Maven packages do not need to (Build)Require jpackage-utils. It is
  pulled in by maven-local
  See: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Java

I do not see this mentioned in the the Java packaging guidelines, just that the Requires for jpackage-utils should be manual or generated. Would be good to quiet the warning, if the generated dependency works.

- Javadoc subpackages should not have Requires: jpackage-utils
  Note: jpackage-utils requires are automatically generated by the buildsystem
  See: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Java

Going along with the last item, the warning seems to make sense, even though I cannot see this explicitly mentioned in the guidelines.

I guess that you do not need the java-devel dependency, as this is a Maven package (rpmlint complains about it).

Comment 3 Jerry James 2014-04-24 15:01:01 UTC
Thanks for the review, David. (Amigas, eh? Those sure were fun machines.) I have fixed the dependencies as indicated, and also fixed the end of line encoding in README.txt. I don't know why rpmlint is complaining about getting a 404 on the source URL, when fedora-review clearly downloaded the source file without trouble. I tried shortcutting the redirections and using the final URL, but that didn't improve the situation.

I still have an Amiga! ;-)

Thanks for making those changes, the package now seems fine to me.
