Marked up JBoss EAP CC 6.2.2 CC guide

Per Stephan's request, I went through the actual CC Guide to verify the consistency of the wording for downloading JBoss from the Customer Portal.

I have added some comments in the enclosed document, some of them are summarized below:

1) Is the evaluated JBoss 6.2.2 version downloaded and installed with JBoss EAP 6.2.0 + CP02 patch? All patches and security advisories necessary for the TOE should be mentioned in the CC Guide.

2) The list of available packages in the Customer Portal might be a bit confusing, I think it's necessary to mention the exact label for the JBoss package that should be downloaded.

3) The RPM files available as ISO image under RH Linux Enterprise only correspond to JBoss v5, are you planning to upload version 6 as well for this evaluation?

4) You need to go to the package details to get the checksums. I think it would be worth mention that as well (it is not in the same page where you download the package)

Thanks,
Alejandro

In reply to the points raised:

1) Is the evaluated JBoss 6.2.2 version downloaded and installed with JBoss EAP 6.2.0 + CP02 patch? All patches and security advisories necessary for the TOE should be mentioned in the CC Guide.

Correct - JBoss EAP 6.2.0 + CP02 is necessary for the TOE. No further patches are required. We will explicitly make mention of those two in the CC Guide.

2) The list of available packages in the Customer Portal might be a bit confusing, I think it's necessary to mention the exact label for the JBoss package that should be downloaded.

Agreed. The precise name of the downloads will be added to the CC Guide.

3) The RPM files available as ISO image under RH Linux Enterprise only correspond to JBoss v5, are you planning to upload version 6 as well for this evaluation?

The JBoss EAP 6 ISOs are not yet available as they are to include the documentation.

The most recently-tested ISO builds are available as follows:

Tested ISO images:

4) You need to go to the package details to get the checksums. I think it would be worth mention that as well (it is not in the same page where you download the package).

Understood. We will check the checksum instructions so that the reader can find them as easily as possible.

1, 2 and 3)
We will have a single zip file for the ZIP installation method AFAIK.
ISO file names should be included.

4) I don't see any information what does the "Software Details" page mean. I would add something like:

JBoss:
When you click on package name in "Download File" column of Software Downloads page, Software Details page is displayed.

RHEL:
When you click on package name in "Download Software" table, Software Details page is displayed.

Comment 5 Josef Cacek 2014-04-23 17:32:50 UTC
Expected file names which will be available for download:

Single zip bundle:
jboss-eap-6.2.2-cc.zip

ISO images:
jboss-eap-6.2.2-cc-rhel-5-noarch.iso
jboss-eap-6.2.2-cc-rhel-6-noarch.iso

Comment 7 Ondrej Lukas 2014-05-16 06:24:30 UTC
Verification failed. 1) 2) and 4) are OK.

3) ISO file names should be included as is mentioned in comment #4.

ISO images: (from comment #5)
jboss-eap-6.2.2-cc-rhel-5-noarch.iso
jboss-eap-6.2.2-cc-rhel-6-noarch.iso

Comment 8 Russell Dickenson 2014-05-16 08:08:27 UTC
Issue 3 (naming of ISO files) has been addressed and can be verified in revision 6.2.2-9 (or higher) at [1].
