Description of problem: My workflow for processing images involves a batch rename of all images after import from the memory card. Unfortunately current digikam in Fedora 20 is frequently deadlocking on a mutex when doing this, which really kills my workflow. I've found a report of this in the upstream bug tracker https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331578 There is a corresponding patch upstream too http://commits.kde.org/digikam/010d0293d322ce458d00ef1ff35ac90562ef7da6 Can we get this patch backported to Fedora packages asap. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): digikam-3.5.0-4.fc20.x86_64 How reproducible: Frequently Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a folder with a few 100 images 2. Select all images 3. Hit F2 to show batch rename 4. Enter a rename pattern 5. Press OK 6. Watch for completion Actual results: Freqently hangs part way through renaming Expected results: Renames all images. Additional info:
Thanks for the thorough investigation, I'll look into it...
