Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Comment 6 Tom McKay 2014-05-27 11:38:25 UTC
To test, set the release version on a content host in the UI, then unset it by choosing the blank entry in the dropdown choices.

Comment 7 Tazim Kolhar 2014-05-27 14:49:28 UTC
blocked becoz we are unable to register a content host :

Comment 8 Kedar Bidarkar 2014-06-02 10:25:00 UTC
Registered a content host using an activation key, to test this bug.

1) enabled RHEL6.4 and RHEL6.5 content and synced.
2) created a CV and added the above repos as part of it.
3) created an ak, without setting a release-version
4) Registered the content host with the above ak
5) Moved to the content-host page, selected 6.5 version and verified whether the "yum repolist" command listed the content.
6) Later moving to the content-host page and viewing the release-version section has no "blank entry" in the dropdown choices.

this is tested with the 20150529.0/Sat6-Beta-Snap7-Compose3 build.

Comment 9 Tom McKay 2014-06-02 13:17:20 UTC
An "X" was added to the UI to unset the release version. This has been in master for several weeks (at least).

Comment 10 Kedar Bidarkar 2014-06-02 14:16:40 UTC
this bug is verified now.

6) Use the "X" to reset the release-version.

Comment 11 Bryan Kearney 2014-07-02 14:07:32 UTC
This was delivered with 6.0.3, which is the Satellite 6 Beta.
