I talked to Chris on irc, as ppc64 is a new channel, so it's empty, nothing from previous versions of EAP is in the channel. As 6.3.0 is an update, we do not have the complete list of NVRs needed for install in the erratum, we also need packages from previous releases of EAP. He suggested to try out installing from the compose repo at: http://download.eng.bos.redhat.com/devel/candidates/JBEAP/composing/JBEAP-6.3.0-RHEL-6-20140424.0/compose/Server/ppc64/os/ and that'll provide the optimal list of packages to pre-populate the ppc64 channels with (provided if you can properly install from that repo). Can you please try that and see if you can get that list to Chris? Thanks! I've tried to use this compose as my starting point/repo. Unfortunately, there are two unresolvable dependencies: picketlink-federation-2.5.3-3.SP4_redhat_1.1.ep6.el6.noarch requires 'jboss-logging-tools >= 1.0.3' jbossas-modules-eap-7.4.0-14.Final_redhat_10.1.ep6.el6.noarch requires 'xalan-j2-eap6 >= 2.7.1-8' I was subcribed to these RHN channels (nothing more): [root@dev199 yum.repos.d]# rhn-channel -l rhel-ppc64-server-6 rhel-ppc64-server-optional-6 rhel-ppc64-server-supplementary-6 The xalan build one has been shipped via https://errata.devel.redhat.com/advisory/17482, should be in the proper EAP 6 channel. The picketlink-federation issue was resolved in picketlink-federation-2.5.3-5.SP5_redhat_1.1.ep6.el6. Chris, can you please update the compose above as you did for the RHEV team? Still not fixed in ER4 build. Created attachment 895580 [details]
list of packages from previous releases
I tried looking into our own tests and came up with this list.
Chris, can you please try pre-populating with this list of packages? Thanks!
https://rhn.errata.stage.redhat.com/rhn/channels/PackageList.do?cid=15329 I ended up creating a new feature in the rhn-copy-channel utility, so that it would allow only copying noarch packages. The ppc64 channel on stage should now have all the noarch packages that the other channels have. Also, I had respun a compose for the latest ER, it is at the following location: http://download.lab.bos.redhat.com/devel/candidates/JBEAP/JBEAP-6.3.0.ER4/compose/Server/ppc64/ Change was made too late. Currently can't be verified, Errata are passed back to Prod team for prepare ER5 build, so lets postpone verification to ER5. Has to be postponed to ER9 (next RPM build). No rpms will be delivered within ER9 build. Finally the next RPM build will be delivered within ER10 (RPM weren't delivered in ER9 at all), so verification has to be postponed to ER10 as well. Verified in EAP 6.3.0.ER10 build. |
