There is a Mojarra bug that will affect any application with pages containing HTML form elements that have no name attribute set, when viewed in Internet Explorer. This error affects RichFaces: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/RF-13598 See the upstream JAVASERVERFACES issue: https://java.net/jira/browse/JAVASERVERFACES-3261
This is a regression from previous version (6.2.2)
Setting blocker to ? as this regression breaks commonly used RichFaces functionality (jsFunction and accordion component) on a supported browser (IE 10, IE 11)
The 2.1.28-jbossorg-2 version of jsf-impl has now been released (the only difference from the 2.1.28-jbossorg-1 version is the fix for this issue). The source is available here: https://github.com/jboss/mojarra/tree/2.1.28-jbossorg-2
Setting release notes flag to - for this. (This bug was both introduced and fixed during the ER4 dev phase.)
Thanks for patching this Farah. Can you confirm for me whether this issue will be present in EAP 6.2.3? It's not clear to me from this Bugzilla issue whether or not that is the case.
The fix for this issue will be in EAP 6.2.3 as well. The Bugzilla issue for 6.2.3 is: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1093686
Works fine with EAP 6.3.0.ER4.
