This bug was raised to track documentation efforts for the EAP 5.3 PRD item EAP5-23.
Zbyněk Roubalík posted the following in the QA JIRA for this issue (EAP5-37) In Security Guide, http://documentation-devel.engineering.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/JBoss_Enterprise_Application_Platform/5/html-single/Security_Guide/index.html#sect-LdapExtLoginModule in chapter LdapExtLoginModule Properties search for: {EXT}cat file_with_password In bindCredential property you can specify external command to obtain a password, if you put there {EXTC} instead of {EXT}, the password is cached, so the external command is executed only once and password is read from a cache. If you put there {EXTC:TIMEOUT}, the cache is invalidated after TIMEOUT miliseconds, eg. {EXTC:1000} means cache is invalidated after 1000 miliseconds. If you have any other questions ask me, or contact developer responsible for this feature directly: Peter Škopek (pskopek)
The above information has been added to the bindCredential entry in the EAP 5 Security Guide and is available for review at: http://documentation-devel.engineering.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/JBoss_Enterprise_Application_Platform/5/html-single/Security_Guide/index.html#sect-LdapExtLoginModule (version 5.3.0-4 or later)
